Kuhlmeyer PBM Long Belt Grinding Machine

The Kuhlmeyer PBM with 90° rotatable grinding unit is built for the horizontal and vertical finishing on volume workpieces out of steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, i.e. switch cabinets, housings, hoods, machine frames, mixer, tumbler, pharma-container, heater, cover sheets, etc

Advantages of the Portal Belt Grinding Machine Type PBM:

• Due to the build with the gantry style machine frame and floor clearance, especially bulky and tall pieces can be machined
• Even heavy weight workpieces (up to 3 tons) can be easily and proper machined
• By the clearance in horizontal and vertical movement the workpieces can easy and safe adjusted on the scissor lift
• With the rotatable grinding unit of 0°-90° the workpieces can be machined in one setup on back and top side (horizontal and vertical), which saves a marginal time in adjusting and set-up-time
• Use of the optional rotate turnstile will save another portion of set-up-time due to the work on all 4 sides and top in one hit
• With the motorized adjustable angel of grinding unit, even steps and edges can be grinded easily and also the rounding of sharp edges is possible
• High accuracy of grinding unit angle with +- 0,3°
• Manually grinding on extreme areas is possible by loosening the tools from the automated guiding system
• Easy setup of grinding belt speed and pressure
• Easy control and programming of handling by PLC and R/C handheld
