The Inverter driven head allows for variable spindle speed from 85 to 2000rpm with digital readout for precise setting. Tools that run at correct speeds last much longer. Precise settings cannot be achieved with gear and pulley drive machines.

The inbuilt tapping facility has a a variable depth setting which can be set so when the spindle reaches the depth stop, the motor and spindle reverse direction to unwind a tap from a hole.
